Noise Control
The State Environment Protection Policy (Control of Music Noise from Public Premises) No. N-2 establishes standards and controls over music noise which balance the right of people living in areas around entertainment venues not to be disturbed by unreasonable levels of music noise, with the right of people seeking musical entertainment at indoor or outdoor venues.

We can help - call NOW
At Pro Light & Sound we have had years of experience and success in offering venues noise management solutions which has kept them within legal limitations imposed by SEPP N-2 policy, so there are no more fines and no further risk to their liquor licenses.
We offer a number of products and services that will help your venue comply and stay in business:
-
Free appraisal of your venue’s options to limit its environmental noise caused by the PA/Sound system. We will assist you in clearly deciphering what it is you are required to do (or not) to meet license requirements in this regard.
-
Installation, Setup and Commission of both Digital & Analog System limiters, which won’t cut mains power to the sound system (‘non trigger type’) This family of limiters are used for both noise pollution and system protection and could be considered non-invasive. They are commonly used in restaurants, bars & nightclubs which have in-house sound systems.
-
Installation, Setup and Commission of a variety of Acoustic ‘Sanction’ limiters, which measure the sound level in your venue with a microphone and cut power to the sound system for a few seconds if the limit is not being adhered to. Sanction limiters are commonly used in venues such as reception centres / function rooms where guest performers bring in their own PA/sound system. They are the only way to adhere to council advised volume levels in venues without an in-house sound system.
-
We can provide On-site Training and understanding to you and your staff about what the installed limiter does and how it operates. Whilst no input is needed by the end user to make the limiter work, it is important to keep relevant people abreast of the new system.
