The Brief
Turn the Peninsula at the Docklands into an Oriental wonderland. With a live band, a floor show, a dancefloor on the agenda to really light up the night.
Our brief was first and foremost to “avoid corporate”, create action, engagement and entertainment. The required outcome was glamour.
The Challenge
The naturally dark venue posed a bit of a challenge. Our job was to create the stage and the backdrop for the live band, create the “wow” factor around the floor show, light up the dancefloor just right to get the people dancing and create engagement.
The Pro Light & Sound Solution
With the Oriental theme front of mind, we used fairy lights and draping to create a pergola-like effect on the ceiling. Further draping around the room added colour and warmth.
There was a lot of well-placed general lighting to light up the room and a dynamic lighting display specifically catering to the floor show.
To create engagement, we put up integrated screens and added a live Instagram feed that allowed the guests to contribute to the entertainment, get engaged and participate.
The Result
Variety – The Children’s Charity raised double the funds from the previous year. The venue looked incredible and the guests had to be pushed out.
