The Brief

Heidi Health approached Pro Light & Sound to produce Heidi Unlocked: Live in Melbourne 2026, a one-day immersive summit at The Timber Yard in Port Melbourne to launch Heidi Remote, the first hardware product from the AI care partner. The directive from the client was clear: this was not a conference. It was to feel more like a product launch than a panel session, and more like a live experience than a trade event.

The Challenge

Transform a raw industrial warehouse into a world-class launch environment for 700 clinicians, health system leaders and executives from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, with five themed clinical booths, a mainstage keynote, a panel, and an evening networking program all delivered inside a single day.

The Pro Light & Sound Solution

Build the venue from the ground up. PLS designed and delivered a large-format LED stage wall as the backdrop for Dr Thomas Kelly’s keynote and the Heidi Remote reveal, with engineered truss rigging, branded media walls and Alucabond architectural cladding to carry the brand environment across the room. Full audio and lighting systems were specified for a 700-person warehouse, with the lighting design tuned to deliver the “rave in a factory” atmosphere that defined the event from arrival. A 28-person crew worked across a three-day bump-in, event and bump-out schedule, with onsite content capture documenting the build alongside the show.

The Result

A flawless single-day delivery that drew direct comparisons to early Apple product launches across the trade and business press, with coverage in Forbes Australia, the Australian Financial Review, Medical Republic, Pulse+IT, MobiHealthNews, IT Brief, and international healthtech publications in the UK and US. Heidi Unlocked has since become a reference point for what immersive healthcare experience design can look like, and a proof case for PLS’s capability to deliver branded launch environments at scale.
