“You need a company that shares your vision, thinks of everything, never says no, and is able to produce something even better than what you thought it could be. That’s exactly what you guys did.”
Christie Katris, Chief of Staff, Heidi
Heidi is a fast-growing global health AI company built around a simple promise: give clinicians their time back. Its AI care partner listens, documents and lightens the administrative load. In early 2026, Heidi set out to launch its first hardware product, in front of customers, partners and prospects. The directive was clear. Think Apple, but for healthcare.
Pro Light & Sound was the production partner behind the launch. The relationship started with Heidi’s regular hybrid internal conferences, which grew into a full production partnership. Heidi Unlocked was the moment that partnership stepped onto its biggest stage yet, and it would go on to draw coverage across national and international health tech media.
The challenge
The ask was audacious: deliver a premium tech launch in a single day, inside an industrial warehouse, for roughly 700 healthcare leaders, clinicians, administrators and partners who had never seen anything like it. The window from concept to delivery was seven weeks. Pro Light & Sound took on the challenge, and committed to delivering everything Heidi wanted, and more.
The build
Pro Light & Sound took an empty industrial warehouse and turned it into a launch environment. Large-format LED screens formed the visual backbone of the mainstage and the demonstration areas. Audio and lighting were designed for an immersive, sensory experience including a live DJ performing from the moment guests walked in.
The digital experience and broadcast
We designed and built a custom event platform that ran the experience from arrival onward. Attendees checked in and collected their passes printed on the spot, including a QR code to access the live event guide, keynote timetable, speaker bios and floor plan.
The launch was a hybrid event. An outbound livestream carried the reveal to a global audience, so the people in the room and the people watching online shared the same moments together. Around the floor, a podcast booth, a media and content-capture station, a merchandise wall and an ‘Ask Heidi’ demo corner kept the room working as a continuous brand experience.
Custom-built demonstration spaces
The zones gave attendees something rare at a launch: not slides about what the product could do, but the product being used in front of them, by the people who built it, in the settings it was built for.
Four custom-built demonstration spaces ran across the floor, Allied Health, Hospital Ward, In-Home Care and Veterinary Clinic, each a working environment for the Heidi platform in a specific care setting, and each staffed by Heidi representatives running live walk-throughs with attendees in their own field of practice. Every prop, fixture and working element was sourced or fabricated by Pro Light & Sound and turned over inside the seven-week window.
“A rave in a factory.”
MEDICAL REPUBLIC
The reveal
Dr Thomas Kelly, Co-Founder and CEO of Heidi, took to the mainstage to unveil Heidi Remote, the company’s first hardware product. Pro Light & Sound shaped the sequencing, the build of pace, the cue timing, and the visual transition that carried the product onto the screen and out to the room and the remote audience at once.
The reception
Coverage broke immediately. Forbes Australia [1] reported the launch as the public arrival of an Australian AI startup into the hardware layer of clinical AI, and the Australian Financial Review [2] picked up the business angle. Pulse+IT [3] and MobiHealthNews [4] ran detailed pieces on the Heidi Remote device, with IT Brief [5] and health tech publications in the UK and US carrying the story.
Medical Republic ran two pieces. The first [6] described the event as unlike any healthcare event the writer had seen in 28 years covering the industry, drawing a line to early Apple product launches. The second [7] framed the launch as Heidi stepping into a stack layer long dominated by Big Tech.
The wider partnership
Heidi Unlocked sat in the middle of an ongoing production partnership, as we had already delivered Heidi’s business updates, multi-city livestreams produced through 2025 and into 2026. Two weeks after Unlocked, the team turned around and delivered the next quarterly conference. In May, a smaller version of the Unlocked production travelled to an industry event. What began as a livestream engagement is now a full-spectrum production partnership, spanning launch events, hybrid broadcasts, brand activations, custom themed builds and venue installations.
“With you guys, nothing has ever been a problem. You are cool, calm and composed.”
