To mark the launch of a new flagship store, Michael Hill wanted a night that reflected the brand at its best - considered, elegant, and quietly confident.

Pro Light & Sound was engaged to deliver the audio and lighting for the evening, with a brief to support the space rather than compete with it. Nothing was to look like production. Everything was to feel like part of the room.

The Ask

A retail launch brings its own constraints. Space is tight, finishes are high-end, and there's no room for visible cabling, stands, or hardware breaking up the design of the store itself. The audio needed to run wirelessly and sit seamlessly within the space, covering speeches and ambient sound without a single cord or speaker interrupting the guest experience.

Lighting needed the same discretion, drawing attention to the space's key feature, the media wall, without announcing itself as a lighting rig.

What We Delivered

Audio: A fully wireless sound system was built into the space, covering the room for speeches and music without a visible cable or speaker in sight. Every element was placed and tuned to disappear into the store's own design, so the sound felt like it belonged to the room rather than being added to it.

Lighting: The media wall was lit as the centrepiece of the evening, with lighting calibrated to bring the feature to life without overpowering the space around it. The result was a considered, elegant glow that matched the tone of the brand itself.

The Result

A flagship launch that felt effortless. Guests experienced a night of considered sound and light that never once felt like production, only ever like part of the space Michael Hill had built.
